Visiting Leeds University

Leeds Labour Club visit

I was delighted to visit Leeds University to do a Q & A with students, the event was organised by Leeds Labour Students and the POLIS society.

It was a very good evening with some insightful questions about how Labour can win again. We had a great conversation about women and politics, including the importance of All Women’s Shortlists and the role they are playing in increasing the number of women in parliament. We discussed the importance of combatting all forms of racism including anti-Semitism. It’s really important to hear what students think about the current issues and hear what they have to say about the world around them and the challenges they face.
