This week’s winner of my Local Hero Award is Andrew Hardaker. Andrew has been keeping the streets of Bramley clean by doing regular litter picks and since lockdown commenced, his solo efforts often see him clock up to seven miles of street cleaning, which the Council’s Cleaner Neighbourhood Team then collects.
Andrew has also inspired others to get out litter picking, and as a result, the Bramley Councillors are setting up a committed group of Bramley ‘Wombles’ to keep Bramley clean.
