A consultation is underway around the opening hours at Bramley and Armley Libraries.

Under current plans Bramley Library may close on Thursdays and current opening hours would reduce by 18%. At Armley a 15% reduction in opening hours is proposed.

Armley and Bramley are the only libraries left in the Leeds West Constituency, following a number of closures in the past few years, and our constituency now has the lowest number of libraries in Leeds. For comparison, Elmet and Rothwell Constituency has 7 libraries and Pudsey Constituency has 5.

Rachel is encouraging local residents to oppose the changes and keep our libraries open for the community! You can help by visiting your local library and registering as a member. You can even sign up to join your library online by clicking here.

A public consultation will be launched later this month and we will let you know how you can have your say on these changes.
