Great to have Andrew Bailey, Chief Exec of the Financial Conduct Authority, in Leeds on Friday for a roundtable with Stepchange discussing excessive overdraft charges and high-cost credit.

We had an excellent discussion on overdrafts and high-cost credit at the roundtable in Leeds with the Financial Conduct Authority, StepChange, Christians Against Poverty, Citizens Advice Leeds, Which? and Leeds City Credit Union. Charges for unauthorised overdrafts are excessive, hitting the most vulnerable the hardest. I will continue to push for a cap on these excessive charges.
