What this means for you

You must stay at home, expect for specific purposes.

Avoid people you do not live or who are not within your support bubble, except for specific purposes.

All non-essential businesses and hospitality venues will have to shut.

Everyone who can work from home must do so. Where it is essential to work in other people’s homes – for example nannies, cleaners and tradespeople – you can do so.

Schools, colleges and universities will remain open and children should continue to attend.

If you are over 60 or clinically vulnerable you should be especially careful to follow the rules and minimise your contact with others.

You cannot travel overseas or within the UK unless for work, education or other legally permitted reasons.

No overnight stays away from primary residences, including caravans and second homes.
