Rachel launches the improved 49 bus

Recently Rachel cut the ribbon to officially launch the new type route 49 buses at a ceremony in Bramley.

There are 18 of these new state-of-the-art buses operating between Bramley and Monkswood Gate via Eastgate & St James’ Hospital.

The brand new buses provide the latest luxury interiors, low engine emissions and Wi-Fi. They are user friendly too with low floor access for all passengers making it easier for parents with pushchairs, wheelchair users and the elderly to get on and off the bus.

Rachel said:

“This is great news for people in Leeds. Bus services play a vital role in the community and I welcome this move by First to improve public transport services”.
