Would you like to come along to a question time style open forum, which the Smith Institute is running at 17.45 for 18.00 on Thursday 15th May 2014 at Albert Room, Town Hall, The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 3AD.
The discussion will conclude no later than 19.15 and will be followed by a drinks reception.
The Smith Institute, with the support of Ed Miliband, has recently launched an independent inquiry into the world of work, focusing on what government, employers, employees, and unions can do to improve working life in Britain. Ahead of the general election we want to open up the debate on ‘making work better’ and what makes for ‘good work’. In particular, we want to hear your views and get your ideas on what can be done to improve the world of work, in regards to pay and conditions, the quality of work and the voice of employees and unions at work. What changes should Labour be advocating and how should they be implemented?
The event will be informal, with short presentations by Rachel and Ian Murray MP (Shadow Business Minister). The discussion will include a Q&A session.
I do hope that you will be able to join us for what will be a very interesting event. Please RSPV to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any queries, please contact Natalia Raha on 020 7845 5845.
