On the Doorstep in Armley and Horsforth

Last Sunday Rachel and your Armley Councillors, Alison Lowe, Jim McKenna and newly elected Alice Smart, were out and about on the #labourdoorstep

The team discussed issues of local concern with residents in the Poplar and Henconner Lane areas. Issues raised included speeding cars, dangerous parking and problems with bus services.

Later Rachel joined the team in Pudsey who were out on force in Horsforth.

Rachel said:

'Getting out and speaking to residents is one of my favourite jobs as an MP.  It is such a great way to find out what issues people care about most. In Armley a number of local community issues were raised and people in Horsforth were concerned about school places. In terms of national issues, the NHS was clearly a priority and mentioned frequently.'
