My visit to Abbey Grange School

I was invited by Niah of The Junior Leadership Team at Abbey Grange School to speak to students about the importance of politics, the General Election and my job as a Member of Parliament.

The students reached out to all representatives of the major political parties directly because they believe politics is very important to them and wanted to learn more about our political process. I was thrilled to accept their invitation and speak about my experiences.

The students quizzed me on Brexit, lowering the voting age, tuition fees and the economy and it was wonderful to debate with such an engaged and informed group!

Huge thank you to the Junior Leadership Team, all the students who turned up and Ms. Clynes for organising and inviting me along. I hope I managed to answer all of your questions and, who knows, I may have been speaking to some future Members of Parliament!
