Rachel Reeves Labour Member of Parliament for Leeds West
This weekend, I appeared on Sunday Politics to talk about the issues that really matter in the General Election. I discussed the Metro Mayor elections and the reasons why Leeds, and the rest of Yorkshire, should be given greater powers to make the decisions which affect local people.
I also spoke about the dangers to local jobs and industry posed by an extreme Brexit but also how it is vitally important we recognise local people want to talk about more than just Brexit, they want to know who will stand up for families on low pay and people who feel insecure at work.
That is what I believe this General Election should truly be about.
