On Saturday I attended the West Leeds & Bramley Credit Union AGM which was extremely well attended. At the meeting, I spoke about how Credit Unions set an example to major financial institutions in how to provide accessible community banking. 

My predecessor John Battle, who is part of the Credit Union’s management board, spoke about how important it is that credit unions should offer an alternative to quick cash from payday lenders. John also explained that Credit unions are for everyone and encouraged people to join.
