Leeds Women's Aid

Last Friday Rachel attended the Leeds Women’s Aid reception at Leeds Civic Hall along with many funders, Councillors, members of the business community in Leeds, volunteers and staff. Rachel spoke about how Leeds Women’s Aid has changed lives of many women and children affected by domestic violence and trafficking by giving them protection, outreach support and advocacy

Rachel thanked all the trustees and volunteers who work with the charity, directly supporting families to live free from fear.

Rachel said “I am proud to be associated with Leeds Women’s Aid as a patron and delighted to attend this event, which will help to spread the word about the fantastic work being done by this charity. It is really uplifting to see women making a huge difference to other women’s lives, and to see positive outcomes achieved for those affected by domestic violence and trafficking.”

Leeds Women's Aid have been protecting women and children in Leeds for 40 years, working to address the barriers to provision that often exist for women fleeing domestic violence
