Yesterday, the Prime Minister announced the first steps out of lockdown.
It was a chance to provide some clarity, but it obscured as much as it revealed.
We want workers to be able to earn an income again and for businesses to thrive. But for that to happen, workers need to know they and their families will be safe.
We need clarity from the Government in regards to the changing advice, so that we can all remain safe, and adhere to the correct Government guidelines.
When opening Parliament’s debate on this today, I urged the Government to provide more clarity on what we should be doing to ensure that we keep this virus at bay.
