I’ve written to Network Rail to ask that they work with the Woodland Trust to replace the trees felled in Armley recently.

Network Rail’s own figures estimate that they fell 50,000 trees per year as part of track management works.

We must ensure that these trees, which are essential to the reduction of carbon dioxide, are replaced.
