Rachel Reeves Labour Member of Parliament for Leeds West
I was really pleased to be able to raise awareness of the issue of Street Homelessness in Parliament this week. Homelessness is an issue that is growing in Leeds, and needs attention from many parties.
Growing initiatives from Leeds City Council and the charity Big Change Leeds, to educate and engage people in ways to help those in need are welcomed, and it is great to see Leeds City Council looking at preventative ways to tackle homelessness. Yet, more funding is needed from the Government in order for these initiatives to be effective, I was pleased to ask the Minister about this funding, as well as raise awareness of homelessness in Parliament.
