Hotseat Success for Carr Crofts

A dangerous building in Armley has been brought up to scratch thanks to concerned constituents contacting Rachel when she was in the BBC Radio Leeds Hotseat just two weeks ago.

The property on Carr Crofts in Armley was in a dangerous state of repair, regularly attracting anti-social behaviour and rough sleepers. Following the Hotseat call, Rachel went to inspect the property and take photographs with local councillor Alice Smart before swiftly getting in contact with Cllr Mark Dobson, Executive Member for Cleaner, Stronger and Safer Communities and asking for a speedy resolution.

Thanks to the quick work and persistence of all involved, the property is now safe and secured.

Rachel said:

'I am glad this issue was raised during the Hotseat interview, as this property was clearly a serious problem and a potential danger to local people. I'd like to thank Cllr Mark Dobson and Leeds City Council officers for responding to my inquiry so quickly and pushing to get this issue resolved.'
