I have recently been contacted by a number of constituents from the new housing development across Holt Crest Way and Holt Crest Rise, LS12 about the problems they are having with their internet and phone lines.
Many of the residents have been advised that they will be unable to connect to BT Openreach until January 2016! I agree that this level of service is completely unacceptable, particularly given the number of people who rely on the internet and phone lines in order to work from home.
I share the concerns of residents that a new housing development, so close the city centre is being denied access to an essential service.
I have contacted BT as a matter of urgency to stress the importance of finding a resolution quickly and I will keep you updated on their progress.
