On Thursday Rachel was asked to open the brand new library at Castleton Primary School in Armley. Library monitors from Year 5 and 6 welcomed Rachel and showed her around the colourful new library, full of a great range of interesting books for pupils to enjoy. She was joined by Cllr Jim Mckenna, Deputy Headteacher Andrea Riley, other teachers and parents.

Rachel said, “It was lovely to open the new library at Castleton Primary School and speak to pupils about their favorite books. I love working with Castleton Primary and it is marvellous to see the work they are doing to expand pupils' learning. I hope the children will enjoy using the library and discovering new books."

The library is supported by Foyles, KPMG and TD offices, earlier in the week children's author Saviour Pirotta visited the school to do readings for pupils.
