Bramley Primary School Visit Parliament

On Thursday, a group of 24 children from Bramley Primary School visited Parliament.  The pupils, from Year 6, were given a special tour around the Palace of Westminster.

Led by their headteacher, David Harrison, the pupils were able to explore Westminster Hall, Central Lobby, the House of Lords and other areas, learning about what happens in Parliament and the history of the building.

Rachel spoke to the pupils at the end of their tour about their experience, finding out what they had learned and enjoyed best, and answering questions about how Parliament works as well as Rachel’s role as an MP in Leeds West and Westminster.

The pupils then went on to spend a packed day in London, visiting the Natural History Museum, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye.
