Rachel joined a demonstration in Leeds yesterday, she marched alongside 3000 local people to call for the children's heart unit in Leeds to be kept open. Among the people taking part in the rally and demonstration were nurses from the heart unit as well as children who had been treated in the unit and their families.

The next stage in the fight to keep the unit open will see the decision referred to the Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley.

Rachel said:

“I was proud to join the march and support families across Yorkshire. I’ve been contacted by so many people about this, it’s vital we keep the fantastic heart unit in Leeds open and will continue to fight until we get justice."
