Rachel Reeves Labour Member of Parliament for Leeds West
It has been great to be involved with the Climate Assembly UK.
Climate Change is an important issue, and we need to take action sooner rather than later. Today I spoke to the participants of the assembly to explain how Parliament will use their recommendations to shape policy. It was a very inspiring discussion.
The Climate Assembly is made up of 100 members, who are representative of the UK’s population. They will hear balanced evidence about the choices that the UK faces, and will make recommendations on what the UK should do to become net zero by 2050.
