Really enjoyed my recent visit to Harden Moor to see the flood management works being put in place as part of the Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme – despite the awful weather!

Whilst it’s great that those defences are being built, they won’t protect Kirkstall or other places in Leeds West from the kind of flooding we experienced in 2015, or from the extreme weather we have seen in the past few weeks.

For our homes, businesses and communities to be safe, we need the final £23 million from the Government to provide the extra level of protection required, and I will continue to fight for this, as I have done for the past four years.
