I will be attending the New Wortley Festival on Friday 5th May for a simultaneous chess challenge as well as to join the community in celebrating the opening of New Wortley Community Centre’s new building.

I am honored to take part in these festivities alongside New Wortley Community Centre, the first community owned Community Centre in Leeds. 

The NWCC continues to do amazing work providing services and support to the people of New Wortley through activities including the Job Club, Positive Communication group, Confidence group, Youth group, Fitness groups and Lunch clubs.

The centre is at the heart of the whole community and I am thoroughly looking forward to the first of what will be many successful events in the New Wortley Community Centre’s new building – I hope to see you there!
