Rachel Reeves Labour Member of Parliament for Leeds West
There’s no point opening new train stations if we cannot get enough trains to stop at them. That includes Kirkstall Forge, where only one train currently stops every hour. This hourly service is not enough to meet increasing demand.
I am determined to get more trains to stop at Kirkstall Forge and that is why I raised this issue during a Parliamentary debate, and have secured agreement from the Secretary of State for Transport that he will meet with me to discuss the number of trains that stop at Kirkstall Forge.
I will not stop fighting for better public transport in West Leeds.
