I spent the beautiful weather last week in the newly award-winning Rodley Nature Reserve alongside the great counsillors for Bramley & Stanningley. 

Any sun in Leeds West is always great, and last week I was lucky enough to spend the day in the Rodley Nature Reserve on the heels of its coronation as BBC Countryfile Nature Reserve of the Year 2018! With me were the three great counsillors for Bramley & Stanningley Ward, Caroline Gruen, Julie Heselwood, and Kevin Richie. Whilst there we discussed the recent flooding and how the reserve had successfully recovered from this, and I was pleased to hear that the week previous saw the volunteers had a party to celebrate all of their hard work.
