Come and Discuss the Rising Cost of Living

CoffeeEvening.jpg

Following the successful Rising Cost of Living Coffee Evening at the Bramley Villagers Social Club in 2013, Rachel is hosting a similar event at the Old Farnley Community Centre, Hillside Hall, Cross Lane on Friday 16th May between 3:30pm - 5:00pm. All Leeds West residents are welcome to attend to share their views and concerns. Refreshments will be provided and we hope you can make it.

You can also complete Rachel's Cost of Living survey online by clicking here, to ensure your opinions are heard.

The key issues raised and discussed at the previous meeting included: utility costs, youth unemployment, unaffordable housing, the Bedroom Tax and rising fuel prices. Rachel compiled feedback via surveys and from the meeting itself and used this information to write letters to Prime Minister, David Cameron and Labour Leader, Ed Miliband, on behalf of attendees.
